Perry Anderson, CCA
Perry joined our community in November 2017 as lead salesman for our retail division. Perry graduated from DMACC with a degree in Ag Business. He later graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Ag Studies and became a Certified Crop Advisor. Perry has been in the ag industry his entire career and brings great value to our team through his experience and knowledge. Perry lives in Elkhart, IA with his wife Michelle and their three children Sydney, Tucker & Beckett.
Jordon Balbiani
Jordon joined our community in July of 2018 as an operator and fleet manager. Jordon was born in Kansas City, MO and shortly after moved to Iowa where he later attended Ballard High School. After high school Jordon worked in several industries including OTR trucking, agriculture, and construction. With Jordon’s ambitious early years, and experience a variety of different fields, Jordon has been a wonderful asset to our community. Jordon lives in Ankeny, IA with his fiancé Julia.
Ben Blair
Ben joined our community in September 2013 as an Applicator with our retail division after studying engineering at Iowa State University. Over the years with us Ben has progressed within our company and now serves as the Chief Strategic Officer. Ben works with all our entities utilizing his forward-looking mindset and data analytics to help evaluate new opportunities and implement policy change. Ben lives in Maxell, IA with his wife Jessica and their three children Braxton, Callen, and Nyla.
Brandon Brehmer
Brandon joined our community in March 2017 to launch our specialty product and turf services department. Brandon received his degree in Turf Science from Penn State University. Brandon has managed golf courses and ran crews working in a multitude of different jobs pertaining to the turf industry. In addition to being an asset to all of our companies, Brandon utilizes his knowledge of the industry and his attention to detail to bring value to our specialty customers. He currently lives in Ankeny, IA with his significant other Kalea and their dog Auggie.
Randy Collings
Eric Hill
Eric was born and raised outside of Cambridge, IA. After finishing his ag business degree at NW Missouri state Eric moved back to Iowa to work with his families sow and cattle operations. Eric was the driving factor in his families expansion in row crop farming and land acquisition. Eric utilizes his passion for the agriculture industry and his level-headedness in his role as Chief Operations Officer. Eric lives in Nevada, IA with his wife Shan and their four Children, Delaney, Isla, Armor, and Oaklyn.
Dr. Howard Hill, DVM
A native of southern California and moved to Iowa to complete his Ph.D. in veterinary microbiology at Iowa State University. Howard has had a long career in the livestock and veterinary industries serving as the head of veterinary microbiology at ISU, the CEO of Iowa Select Farms, and as president of the Nation Pork Producers Council. Howards passion and experience within our industry are inspirational to our entire community. Howard lives outside of Cambridge, IA with his wife Nancy.
Dylan Lathrum
Dylan joined our community in November 2019 as an Operator and Apprentice Agronomist. Dylan graduated from Iowa State University in 2019 with a degree in Animal Science and a minor in Agronomy. We are excited for Dylan to grow within our companies utilizing his passion for agronomy and animal husbandry. Dylan lives in Ankeny, IA with his two dogs Cooper and Madi.
Jason Maxwell
Jason was raised on the family farm growing corn, soybeans, and raising livestock. After graduating high school Jason started work for Story Construction out of Ames. In 1997, after 3 years with Story County, Jason started his own concrete construction company called JKT. JKT allowed Jason to pursue his passion for the construction industry as well as allowing the flexibility to continue farming with his family. Over the next twenty years, as JKT flourished, Jason was able to pursue his interest in livestock management while being active in row crop production. Today Jason oversees JKT, manages livestock, works daily on the operational level, and is the majority owner of several of our companies. Jason’s work ethic, and his passion for the industries in which we work, are inspirational to us all. Jason lives in Maxwell, IA with his wife Kerri and two children Tucker and Karlie.
John Maxwell
John grew up working on the family farm with his brother Jason and father Rod. After graduating high school John joined the United States Navy serving from 2004-2008 as an F/A18 Mechanic. After leaving the navy in 2008 John returned home to take an active role in the family’s various companies. In addition to his daily activity on the operational level John serves as Chief Executive Officer, sharing his vision and innovation with our work community. John lives in Maxwell, IA with his wife Abby and their four children, Sawyer, Scout, Layne, and Dex.

Megan Stratton
Megan joined our community in February 2018 as an in-house accountant. Megan graduated from AIB in 2010 with an associate degree in Accounting and later received her bachelor’s degree from Kaplan University in 2017. Megan utilizes her aptitude for finance, and her meticulous attention to detail, to be an invaluable addition to our leadership team serving in the role of Chief Financial Officer. Megan lives outside of Collins with her fiancé Kyle and their four dogs.

Bret Veren
Bret joined our community as an applicator with our ag retail division in 2007 after receiving a bachelor’s degree in ag studies with a minor in entrepreneurship from Iowa State University. In the years since beginning with our company Bret has filled an evolving role. Bret now serves as the managing partner of our retail company as well as filling the role of Chief Procurement Officer for our various holdings. Bret’s analytical thinking, logistical knowledge, and passion for our industry continues to put our company, and our customers, in a position to succeed. Bret lives in Clemons, IA with his wife Amanda and their two children, Cade and Jaci.
Zach Veren
Zach joined our community in the summer of 2015 as an Operator. Zach was born and raised on a farm in Albion, IA and graduated from West Marshall High School. After high school Zach spent five years traveling the states as an electrician and pipe fitter. Zach’s agricultural background paired with his electrical and mechanical knowledge have made him invaluable to our operation. Zach currently lives outside of Albion with his wife Jenna. Zach and Jenna are awaiting the arrival of their first born in April 2020.
Joe Winchell
Joe joined our community in December 2019 as an agronomy salesman for our retail division. Joe graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Ag Business and Economics. Joe came to us with a background in seed sales on the manufacturer level. Joe has a true passion for agronomy, customer service, and sales. Joe and his wife Rachel live in Van Meter, IA with their two dogs Cactus and Marvin.
